West released as Head Men’s Basketball Coach

ALCORN STATE, MS - Samuel West’s contract was not renewed as head coach of basketball at Alcorn State University. Effective immediately he will serve as Assistant to the Athletic Director. Coach West will serve in that capacity for sixty days. The team’s record under his direction was 44-103. West was the Head Men’s Basketball Coach for five years.
