Former TnSt Golfer Makes Cut at US Open

tnstatelogo.gifFormer Tennessee State University golfer, Robert Dinwiddie, has made the cut at the 2008 US Open Golf Tournament in Torrey Pines, CA.

Dinwiddie recorded scores of 73 and 71 for a even par 144 in the tournament’s first two days. This is his first-time playing in the US Open.

Robert, a native of Dumfries Scotland, participated on the TSU Golf team, 2002-2006 and was OVC Golfer of the Year in his freshman year (2002), he was runner-up in 2004.

Dinwiddie turned professional in 2006 and has been played in sixteen PGA European Tour events, earning nearly $300,000. His best finish was a 3-place tie at the BMW Asian Open event in Shanghai, China, April 24-28 of this year.
