About

Since August 1997 TSPNsports.com (formally “The SWAC Page Network” and before that “The SWAC Page”) has been the premier source for HBCU sports information featuring the 10 schools of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (the SWAC). It is currently one of the largest and most visited HBCU sports information sites on the Web.

We have served as a key source of HBCU sports information for several major sports agencies and media outlets throughout North America including ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and EA Sports. After changing our name to TSPNsports.com in August 2007, we extended our coverage to include all athletic conferences and schools under the HBCU sports umbrella. However, we still feature the 10 member schools of the SWAC.

TSPNsports.com is wholly owned and operated by Rashad Interactive, LLC.

Kenn Rashad
(Founder, Executive Editor)

rashadpic.jpgKenn Rashad created TSPNsports.com (known by most today as TSPN) in 1997 after discovering a lack of online media coverage on HBCU sports programs by mainstream media outlets. With no prior experience in building websites and knowing next to nothing about the World Wide Web, he went to a local CompUSA and purchased the book, “Teach Yourself Web Publishing with HTML in 14 Days” by Laura Lemay. That move along with the implementation of basic Internet marketing strategies eventually lead to TSPN becoming one of the largest and most highly trafficked HBCU sports information site on the Web.

Kenn’s efforts have gained the attention of media outlets throughout the U.S. which include special guest appearances on a number of radio and TV sports programs. While nurturing the growth of TSPN, Kenn worked as a sales executive and consultant for IT companies such as Compuware, McAfee, AT&T, and Verio.

In addition to managing the activities of TSPNsports.com, Kenn is also founder and president of Rashad Interactive, LLC, a Dallas area based Internet marketing and consulting services firm.

A native of Inglewood, California, Kenn received his B.A. in Mass Communications from Grambling State University in 1990. He has a wife (Dionne) and two sons (Malik and Jamil).
