She has not started to eat it yet. The outside is slightly cooked so the blood is not obvious but once she take a knife to it... it's gonna get bloody.

    But the answer is no.

I don't like well done steaks but I can't go with rare or medium rare.

I couldn't eat a rare steak. I request all my steaks/burgers as medium well.

If you notice, that very rare steak is sitting on top of a hot brick and has not been cut into.

No way in the world I would eat a steak or any kind of meat that rare.
Honestly makes no sense to even put heat to it in this case.
That thing is just as raw as it was before they held a BIC Lighter to it.

Thumbs up Re: would you eat a Steak that looked like this?

    *mouth watering*

I used to eat steaks 3mins one side "A" and then 2.5mins on side "B." I wanted that PURE protein in my system back in the gap. Now that I understand parasites lol, I try to eat everything well done.

I'm saying that now and I had some rare roast beef a few days ago.

The first thing I'd ask the person that brought it to me was "why is my steak on a brick?"

    Which J5t dummy said this?
Didn't JSU kick your ass twice this year? Yes? Didn't Grambling lose more games than any team in the tournament? Yes. Isn't it a feather in your hat to beat Mighty JSU? Yes. Didn't Grambling get their ass whupped 20 times this year? Yes and DAMN!! LOL!!
Hint: It was said right after a LOSS to that same Grambling team.

A lot of better, not only str8 formal, restaurants do this.
It's just a show trick that restaurants and chef's use when cooking meat.

Same as if someone want's a medium rare sirloin or any meat that is ordered rare.
They don't cook it to medium rare because the heat in the meat is still cooking it when it is taken off the heat and plated.
They cook it a minute or 2 below medium rare or whatever.
By the time it is served at the table, it is ready to eat and not overcooked.

In this case, look like she wanted it str8 rare which means the chef only seared the outsides.
The hot brick continues to cook the meat and keep it hot while it is being eaten.
Like a italian dish served on a heated plate.

No I wouldn't. I eat all meat well-done...and if you know what's good for you, you would too.

I eat mine medium rare. That's not blood. It's coloring added to the meat to make it look more appealing. If it's a good aged steak medium is great. Well done may as well be jerky.

I actually prefer to prepare my own steaks. Restaurants don't do them justice in my opinion. Granted, I have never had one of those really expensive restaurant steaks but pound for pound, I can whoop a restaurants azz on cookin a cheap one.

Ruth Chris is okay but we have the Butcher Shop which you can cook your own steak. Its pretty good and Folk Follies is off the chain. It's a local Memphis joint that is just as high as Ruth Chris with private rooms and such. It's great. Steak bigger than both your hands and 2 inches thick...You have to take some home.

And I grill those bad boys. marinated in salt, black pepper, a little Worcestershire sauce. fresh crushed garlic and olive oil. When it's done put a pat of butter on the plate and place the steak over it..

I like my steaks medium well or as long as it isn't dried out. I just can't stand a tough, overcooked steak.

Medium to medium-well is the way I eat my steaks. Burgers medium-well. I can't do well done anymore. That is just too dry.

I like my steak cooked Medium Well.
The point where the center of the steak has just turned "white".
Nine out of ten times, I don't want to see no pink beef unless it's in bed.

Stupid quirk of mine is I can eat PRIME RIB with just a little pink.
Don't know why but that is the only cut of meat that I can eat just a LITTLE rare.
Prime rib is the one slightly raw moment I'll take.

Looks like I am the odd man again. Beef is not in my diet much now. I will eat a steak maybe 5 times a year. But I am an official card carrying brother who likes his steaks rare with a nice Cabernet Sauvignon or a Zinfandel. I can not stand tough dried out beef. All well done steaks are not tough. Some of the better Steak houses can cook good steaks regardless of rare, medium, or well done. But, any run of the mill commercial chain restaurants it has to be rare. In the above picture, I would want it to be chard a little more. It is pleasing to my eyes when it is black on the out side and red on the inside. Hold the joke, I have heard them all especially from my wife. One time she told me “you better hurry up and eat that before it walks away.”
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

I have had one in the last three years... Cut beef out of my diet... But I would tear a medium rare steak up back in the day... I don't eat ANY pork, only baked chicken (and only maybe once a week)... The rest of the time I only eat baked/steamed seafood...

Although I don't care for red meat and I eat seafood more than anything, it still amazes me how folks really don't realize wild game is better to eat than any food in the super market. The body actually needs a balanced diet. Just like I remember the kick when no one wanted wild caught fish. They wanted farmed raised, now the doctors are saying farm raised is not good for you and wild caught is.
